This year was extra special.  Miles is finally old enough to REALLY participate. We had a blast remembering the beginning and celebrating the growth of our family!
I ended up making two different sets of sugar cookies.  By accident, I made a batch of sugar cookies that are not suitable as cut out cookies. However, we baked both…. and may just have to continue this little mistake in later years.  Decorating some with sprinkles and decorating the rest with super bright frosting helped keep Miles attention really well from beginning to end!
Here are the 2 recipes:

……. I HAVE A JOB!!!
Today, I was offered and accepted a research job at Northwestern University! I start on January 3, 2011! I’m super excited to put my brain back to work and to let Miles socialize in a daycare again!
Hooray for quality family time and lasting traditions and memories !!!

The frosting is part of the second recipe posted. I just messed with the milk and the sugar until I found my perfect consistency. The food coloring I like best is Betty Crocker's Food Color Gel (I used it for Miles Frog Cakes last year)... Super bright!

What a cute video Kelly! Kent was joking that Miles was on a serious sugar trip during that filming. Adorable. Congrats on the job! I am SUPER excited for you!
