Nate and I woke Miles up at 6:45am by singing “happy birthday” and the video camera. Apparently his birthday is not enough reason to make waking up any less awful. He shooed us away and walked into the living room about 5 minutes later, on his own terms.
We sang happy birthday again and let him open a few presents!
We got him ready for a big school day, fed him his recent favorite for breakfast (toasted blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese), locked up the dog and made our way to the car.
Miles had a great day at school… Spanish lessons AND passing out his birthday cupcakes to his friends while they sang to him! He LOVES when people sing the birthday song to him!! (I wish I had pictures to share, but I wasn’t able to be there.)
Once home, we let Miles open the rest of this gifts.
He’s been begging for balloons!! (It’s since been a week and a half – Miles still carries the “party” from room to room with him. He sleeps with them, eats near them, and plays next to them!)
Cars and guns…..
Some books…..
We had dinner – homemade Mac and Cheese, slightly adjusted from this recipe. I think it was a winner!
And finally, the cake!!!
Happy birthday,Miles buddy!!
FYI: Birthday post part II still ongoing. I promise to get to it soon!

Yay! I've been waiting for this post!I can't believe my little buddy is 3! He looks so happy with all his new loot!
I think you need to teach him directional/concentrated blowing when he blows out candles for next time. :) Happy birthday buddy!
You know, Miles blew out my and Nate's candles just fine a few weeks prior.... I'm not sure what happened?!?!
