With the steep cost of general admission to many of the Chicago museums, we debated as to whether Miles would be too young to appreciate his first visit to the famous Chicago Field Museum.
Apparently, when it comes to dinosaurs and Miles, there is NO “too young” to appreciate such sites. Miles loved it – almost as much as his adorably enthusiastic dad.
The main dino attraction was Sue_the most complete, well-preserved T. Rex to date!
Miles knew exactly what Sue was…. “Dat’s a T. Rexth!”
Honestly, I’m not into dinosaurs, but Sue was super cool!
Hey, Miles! Look up high… what do you see?!
Ohh… a pterodactyl. Yes, buddy! It’s a flying dino!
After the main lobby, we perused the rest of the dinosaur exhibits. We saw sauropods, hadrosaurs, a stegosaurus, a triceratops, and much more.
Miles famous line from the afternoon was, “Hey dad, check this out!” As soon as Nate would get to his side, Miles would leave and find the next amusing object and repeat the process.
Pushing the little red buttons that pronounced the dinosaur names became an obsession.
I hope that you enjoyed your brief, whirlwind tour from the Field Museum. I apologize for not getting more face shots of Miles. Nate kept turning his back to the camera, therefore turning Miles’ back to the camera as well.
Hopefully this final picture will help you feel his energy and curiosity from a distance.
Great times! I recommend a visit if you’re ever in the area!
